Dorset Council consultation on new Equality Diversity Inclusion (EDI) strategy — UKNFS input, and Dorset Nepali community awareness sought
The UKNFS has been contributing input to Dorset Council’s new Equality
Diversity Inclusion (EDI) policy and strategy — some aspects of these inputs
have we understand, been considered for incorporation. We ask Dorset area
Nepali community members to input to the new EDI strategy consultation that is
currently being undertaken by Dorset Council ( the details below have been
provided to us from the EDI officer at Dorset Council).
The UKNFS is aware that there have been and continue to be experiences of
negative kinds of some of our Dorset Nepali community members on prejudice,
perceived discrimination, and especially systems that are often not geared to
supporting effective integration. We will be looking for the new EDI in its
final form to have the ‘teeth’ to do much to address and mitigate these issues.
