UKNFS shortlisted for MTM national/UK award for excellence & achievement

The UKNFS is delighted to announce that our organisation has been shortlisted for the MTM excellence & achievement award — https://www.mtmawards.co.uk/vote-now/ — due to our work in a number of areas to support our UK Nepali community.

This recognition reflects well on how the UKNFS has been working in a number of areas in regard to issues of day-to-day life importance for community members, from anti-racism, to Gurkha community duration of family leave problems caused by the DWP’s institution of Universal Credit Full Service, and in this case where the UKNFS and parliamentarians have seen that the Nepali and Nepali – Gurkha community have been perceived to be victims of the now recognised nationally & internationally UK Immigration ‘Hostile Environment’ regime. It gives us great pleasure to have had our work at the UKNFS to have been identified for its effectiveness, through being shortlisted for this nationally important award by MTM.
